I can definitely relate, I moved to a different state straight out of high school which made my stutter worse. Took forever to find a job but finally did at a call center of all places.... I can honestly tell you it was one of the toughest struggles I have had. You get some really mean customers saying "why would they hire someone who cant talk right?", told my supervisor "I'm a speech therapist and wondering why you would hire someone with a speech impediment" and many more terrible comments. After about a year though something changed, I ended up gaining more confidence and my stuttering improved immensely. I ended up becoming a coach and training the new hires how to take phone calls which I really enjoyed. That being said stutter or not call centers are very high stress jobs unless of course you can move up and not be on the phones all day everyday. You can do it, but it may be a difficult road ahead!
