I did see somebody post on this subreddit once that even though they had pretty severe facial distortions while stuttering, they would start up conversations with people, and the conversations would go well. He said that after a while of practicing talking with people he became less tense and his facial distortions went away. So I imagine a lot of it is in the attitude. I think we shouldn’t underestimate the fact that having a great attitude is a bit rare, so if the person who stutters has a great attitude, they have a good chance of being attractive to the people around them
