My parents seriously believe that reading aloud will cure it

My parents seriously believe that reading aloud will cure it I'm a 23 year old guy who has had it since I was three. Since I graduated from college in July, they started to press me harder than ever to "cure" this problem. As if I haven't tried it before, they constantly tell me to read a book aloud or even shout in the wilderness because "it will help". Jesus, I already did this from the point I learned how to read and write in primary school to the early college years. IT DOES NOT JUST HELP. Even if it does, it's temporary; my stutter worsens again after some time. They themselves witnessed its inefficiency when I was younger but still tell me to do it stupidly. That asshole who happens to be my father was also a stutterer, so it's genetic. If they wanted to chide me for it all the time, they should have preferred not to bring me into this world from the beginning because they must have known that stutter is genetic.
