I think introversion, sensitivity, and perfectionism can all play a part in increasing stuttering. Seeing stuttering negatively is the first step for stuttering to actually become a negative mental cycle opposed to it fluctuating naturally. And as far as being an introvert, for me sometimes I don’t have a lot of motivation to small talk and meet new strangers. And with this lack of positive emotion with talking to people, I think it can definitely make it easier to start getting up in my head and then start stuttering. So yea, I do think our personality plays a big role. People that are less introspective/self conscious will always be more free flowing, whether it’s dancing, acting, making jokes, etc.
