Tell that to my speech therapist I saw two times a week for years, tell that to the countless bullies I fought at school. You can also discount all the time I spent practicing the techniques I use to control my fluency issues. My stutter would be considered rather mild compared to many others but even being mild, when untreated in my youth it was apparent to everyone. I even had a teacher try to hold me back a grade because she thought I was illiterate and dumb when I couldn’t read out loud during class. Talk about embarrassing, being frog marched by your teacher all the way into the kindergarten class and she yells at the teacher that they need do better testing before sending dumb kids to her classroom… It’s all good though, you can believe I don’t have a stutter if you want, I don’t really care.
