I used to beat myself(metaphorically) up whenever I had a block and didn't force it through at the fear of making a weird sound. I thin that is okay as well. A mindset shift is required. We need to understand what our end goal is. Our end goal is communication. So even if you are blocking, but able to say it with a 5 sec pause with a forced heavy breath sound, its okay. Even if you force it in the first second of the block and start repeating words and are off pitch, that's okay too. Even if you write a text message that is fine as well. As long as the other person is able to understand you. But don't avoid situations just because you are afraid that you might stutter. Sometimes writing a text message is not an option (like when you have to explain something complex or hold a discussion). Avoidance and feeling ashamed means you are regressing.
