I've talked to other people who stutter, and some have similar experiences--avoiding other people who stutter because they remind them of themselves. Have you ever thought about joining your local chapter of the National Stuttering Association? One person told me that after they started going to meetings and getting more comfortable with other people who stutter, they started accepting themselves and their own stutter a bit more. Yeah, I think she should have definitely told you. I've never heard of that as a therapy technique, but I also just started my first fluency class. Even if you weren't watching someone fake a stutter, what would you think? Sorry for all the questions. I was with some of my classmates last night, and we all felt inappropriate doing it because we can't really fake a stutter and experience the things that people who stutter can.
