Worked at a major hotel chain with a TON of families, serving ice cream, coffee, cafe stuff. Had that job seasonally for 3 years. Loved it. Not everyday was easy ... had some real jerks out there. My managers were completely behind me though, and one even stood up to a customer for me. I got down to a rhythm where I'd basically say the same thing every time. That really helped.
