I guess it might be useful to know that the way that I'm using abstraction is the same way it is used in computer science. When you get a bunch of code together that forms a specific function, and you have to find the input and the output for it. at that point you can treat all of that code as a black box, just telling anyone who uses it that it has a certain functionality. In order to use it they don't need to know the underpinnings of the code just what it does. In that way you continue to put these black boxes of code together in a way similar to Legos I guess you could say. each time you can group them together and give them a specific functionality that is a level of abstraction. In this way I was talking about abstracting out the individual processes of people to a higher functional level rather than deep biomechanical inter workings at the cellular level. So I guess I just have a tendency to address these types of things from the bottom up.
