I have not edited any comment to make you look bad, I have just edited my misspellings and tried to add more context. I am sorry if that is what you have perceived, it just irks me when people treat this subject without the nuance that is requires. All I am trying to say, is we shouldn't rule out every possible causation just because it hasn't been proven yet. The naming convention is meaningless to me, what is important is recognising that not everyone who stutters is the same. I have thought about this subject my entire life, and I come to the conclusion that MY stutter is neurological - what do I mean by that? I think there is something fundamentally 'wrong' with the verbal communication functions of my brain. In MY experience, my brain becomes overloaded and there is a disconnect between the motor movements to produce sound and the language generation part of my brain. Look, I am not a neuroscientist, I am a computer scientist. I don't know all the lingo - If I could go back to University and study this subject, I would. I am just sharing what I THINK, I can't prove that it's true. As I don't have the tools to do so. Again sorry if you thought I was being rude
