Dropping the first letter of a word.

Dropping the first letter of a word. Lately, many words beginning with B result in a block, and especially words beginning with Br- and Bl-. Some people tell me that I just need to practice saying those words. They don't get it. Look, I can practice saying those words by myself until the cows come home, but it won't do any good, because the blocks only result when I'm speaking with others. Alone I speak fluently nearly 100% of the time. A tool that I've resorted to using is to drop the first letter of these words. I got stuck on the word "brain", and by dropping the first letter it came out as "rain". "Breakfast" became "rekfast". And you know what? Usually people won't notice. It's not a tool that I will use for the rest of my life, but if it's something that gets me through a sentence or phrase fluently and doesn't reinforce bad speaking habits, I'm all for it. As I get better at speaking, I eventually won't need to do it anymore. Sure, it might sound weird, but you know what sounds even weirder? Uhh, stuttering!
