Then that very well may be your normal speed regardless of what other people say. But it also is probably because a common thing people think causes Stuttering is talking to fast so people probably think they're trying to help by saying that I'm always interested in hearing how different other people's stutters are. Like people always say throw yourself in situations where you're forced to speak and it helps. For me I don't understand the idea behind that but I've never had a choice in the matter and have always had to have customer service jobs so I'm used to it.
