Hey, I would say that there is no place where there is a "high education" about stuttering. People rarely open up about it, and 1% isn't really common. Personally, I try to open up about it quite often, I've had some stuttering friends where they didn't feel the need to open up about it, or try to advertise, and generally the reason for that is because they felt that their stutter no longer dictates their life in a way where they feel they are of a lesser person. Now, this doesn't mean that it doesn't have any effect, but rather you just get comfortable with it, at least in my experience, currently finished 1st year of uni, will start the 2nd year of it this fall. In this case, I really like this quote "It gets better". I hope it does for you, at least it did get for me. Confidence & believing in yourself is the key.
