I have similar difficulties with certain consonants, I typically use avoidance techniques and substitute words. In situations like you’ve mentioned, I will often anticipate the problem and patch together synonyms or rearrange the question/phrase to bridge the sentence together in a way I’m more confident I can say fluidly. The “you” thing is something that’s randomly popped up for me too. I also tend to use pop culture references as a front to change my tone/melody and use “How you doin’?” like Joey from Friends is known for. P.S. I am not trying to validate avoidance techniques. Unfortunately, I work in Hospitality where I am put in vocal situations that sometimes require urgency and am required to be clear and effective. Sometimes I have no choice but to figure it out on the fly to avoid feeling embarrassed.
