Well ... I was discussing my stuttering with someone long ago and they asked me if I stutter when I write. At the time I thought what a bizarre and stupid question. Fast forward about 40 years and these days I don't stutter much but I work alone remotely and use Slack (a form of IM) all the time. I find myself constantly leaving words out of my text. I always proof read after sending and usually have to edit and insert the missing words. I have to do that quickly if I miss out an important word like "not". Sometimes I quite obliviously miss several words in a row that I said in my head while I was talking. It makes me think back to that question and wonder if there is a connection with stuttering and if that wasn't such a silly question after all. I suspect not, it's probably just because I'm a bad writer.
