Was the therapy you had centered around controlling your stutter or becoming more fluent? If so it's not surprising your self esteem plummeted when it didn't work. I saw many different therapists and none of them could help me until I realized what other alternatives there were to fluency and what I wanted out of therapy. About the mock interviews, have you tried advertising your stutter at the start of the interview? This could help take some pressure off.
