SLP here. I would recommend it on 2 conditions: first, like the other commenter mentioned, you need to go in understanding that there is no cure. Therapy largely centers on your attitude towards the stutter. Second, find an slp that specializes in fluency. slps usually have a certain field that they specialize in, while still working on other fields as well. Get some recommendations specifically for an slp that works with stuttering.
