Perhaps so but this lacks the understanding we are way more vunerable to people than the vast majority of the population. Also, stuttering and childhood depression/anxiety are closely entangled. We are predisposed to mental health disorders and harmful perceptions/treatments from others. If someone is mentally ill telling them it's their fault will only serve to hurt them as it isnt their fault. "small-minded men blame others, Average men blame themselves, the wise blame no one. They see all blame as foolishness." I think this is the best way to approach it. That things happen outside of our control. It's okay to express your feelings in the moment and be heard but this is the best path to healing. The point will be yes you can argue other people are to blame but that game is not winable because it's outside of our control. I know you mean well but your approach is by nature victim blaming and belittling. Instead of empathy you receive pick yourselves up by your bootstraps and someone insisting everything is your fault.
