I didn't say it's completely NOT a disability, I'd still reckon it depends on how severe your stutter is. But I am not putting it in tier of legit handicap, where you need external assistance, to perform basic functions. From your first paragraph, I do agree there are various cases of stuttering, check out Drew Lynch, the comedian, he got stuttering due to a sports injury, and overtime his stuttering has improved by ALOT. Your third paragraph has little truth to it, I do agree lot more emphasis, and research has to be done on it, but it's kinda a very small percentage of people, who in fact most of them hide it carefully. By being negative and pessimistic, you aren't gonna do yourself and others a favour. Especially when your problem IS influenced psychologically. I personally have met very very FEW people who legit stutter so bad, it's noticeable, and I am sorry if you belong to that category.
