I’m glad you got to serve. I got chaptered out of the U.S. ARMY back in 2002 on the last week of Basic because I was deemed a safety hazard by my senior Drill Instructor. I later learned that she hated her Grandma who stuttered and I was the one receiving the retribution for her Grandma’s ways. It fucked me up in life, in my head and it still bothers me. I never got to serve my country. I don’t talk about it much, but I’m glad there’s a few of us that got passed that old hag, Drill Sgt Davis and got to serve.
