I told my ex that I stuttered after I told her I was too shy to ask for a pack of cigarettes behind the counter. She couldn't understand why I was too afraid to ask, so I told her the truth finally. She didn't believe me, because when I spoke to her I rarely stammered. Completely dismissed it. We were a year into the relationship. We were sort of in a rocky period at the time though. It still hurts a bit. I don't know if I could tell a future partner.
