When I was in the eighth grade, I was voted student of the year at my school. They gave us an award ceremony honoring all of the top students in our district, and I went. They made us get up on stage in front of all these people and their families, and say our names and what school we went too. I completely butchered it, and it was mortifying, to say the least. Oh, and it was televised.
