Couple tricks for you. Maybe try a soft stutter. Plan on saying your name with with a soft stutter, whatever sound it starts with. That keeps you from either blocking or prolonging the stutter. “Hi my name is Ruh-Robert”. The long blocks and the prolonged stutters seem to wear stutterers out the most so by purposely stuttering you’re mitigating damage and not looking rude by not answering. Or when you introduce yourself purposely stutter on a word you normally wouldn’t and it may lead you in to fluency with your name . “Hi I-I’m _____. The first few days for anyone at a new job are tough, just hang in there and be a team player and they will appreciate you no matter your fluency at a particular day and time.
