I joined the ARMY five days after 9/11. I went to Basic and I was chaptered out the last week of Basic. I thought the same thing for almost a decade and I still have bouts where I think the same thing. I went into the Warehouse industry and did that for 20 years. I worked my ass off proving to myself that I’m just as good as they are and I succeeded. I did Warehouse Management for 8 years. I love the Warehouse industry. Now I work in a separate field thanks to the Covid 19 lockdowns. But I still have the same attitude; fuck what everyone thinks and I’m going to bust my ass to prove to myself that I’m just as good as they are. I make pretty decent money, my job is physically easy most of the time now, but it’s very mentally exhausting. You got this. Don’t hold any resentment towards them. They don’t deserve you working for them if they can’t look past your stutter. Send me a DM if you want to chat.
