Hey, I had the same experience. During my secondary school and high school years, my stutter was almost non existent. I still stuttered but it was not a big deal. Then I turned 18 and moved to a different country, speaking a different language and the stutter got worse and worse overtime. Nowadays I can't even speak a full sentence without blocking, especially when speaking to my superior at work.
