I think at the beginning of my journey talking about my stutter was really important, helped me to understand that it’s really not as big a deal as I thought and that other people really aren’t bothered by it either. On a daily basis I made a conscious effort to push out my comfort zones and not let the way I speak control me and stop doing things. Coming out of speaking situations that haven’t gone well I guess I got better at not dwelling on it and moving on, always keeping in mind that your better to have gone into a speaking situation and had a lot of difficulty then to have avoided it altogether. Rome wasn’t built in a day, it does take time but stick with it.
