I think he simplifies it extremely. There is no cure. If you stutter into adulthood, you'll likely stutter your whole life. You can only manage it and gain a higher level of fluency. I think it also invalidates the struggle we go through and how real the problem is. He's basically saying, "all you have to do is think before you speak." If only it were that easy - I wish it was. Being that stuttering doesn't get much representation or visibility, I don't like how someone with as wide an audience as Steve is spreading this kind of misinformation. (Also not a fan of Steve Harvey in general.)
