To me stuttering is analagous to bad vision or bad hearing. No one asks for a permanent fix but they just use a prosthetic (eye glasses or hearing aids) and most of the problem is solved. Bad speech (stuttering) is the same. With a good prosthetic (delayed auditory feednack (DAF) or Edinburgh Masker) most of our speech problems will be solved
