You shouldn't let it hold you back but I 100% understand where you're coming from. I would recommend a kitchen job. I'm a sous chef and all I have to say is in the kitchen, we're all a bunch of misfits trying to make it along the way. in a restaurant you'll find criminals, illegal immigrants, nut jobs, and people with disabilities. We all know what it's like to get down and not be able to get back up, there's that mutual respect and understanding.
