Experience with different languages

Experience with different languages My language is of slavic origin, and beside that, I know English. But since I never spoke English too much, it's extremely hard for me to pronounce and talk that language. I stutter so much worse. For example, if I am reading text on my native language, I can calm myself and pronounce correctly without stutter about 95% of the words. With English, that's more like 20%. Has anyone had similar experience and how did you fix it? Did practicing that other language later helped with your native as well? I was thinking to take a book written in English and just read few pages daily. It seems to me that I have this problem because English has so much "tongue twisting" compared to my language and perhaps getting better at it will help my overall fluency.
