I was offering encouragement to OP. I never said 'cured by the holidays.' If you read my later response, I state that I don't view it as something that can be cured. Truth is, your response kind of exemplifies my comment about the negative attitudes I encounter in this sub. OP asked if speech therapy was worth it. 110% it's worth it. I've had success. I know that others can too! I want everyone to know that it's possible. Not everyone will achieve the same results. But everyone *can* achieve improvement. Stuttering hurt me. It hurt me a lot. It played a huge role in my development. My social skills, confidence, and emotional health were severely impacted by my stuttering. It's my sincere wish that anyone suffering like I was find the help and support to improve their situation.
