It’s going to take a minute buddy to accept your stutter and be ok with it. I’m 18 and I’m just beginning that road to healing within myself and loving who I am. I’ve started disclosing my stutter to people at the beginning of conversations like “just so you are aware, if I look like I am about to have a fit and my fa c e gets a bit stuck and my words, I promise I’m ok, I have a stutter so just give me a minute and it’ll come out :).” I usually laugh a bit and make it light hearted. This way, I’m not owing them an explanation, I’m making the situation more comfortable for myself by giving myself the upper hand and bringing awareness to it. With the dull and unfriendliness - I find trying to laugh a little when talking gives a “happier expression” and helps me in times when I’m blocked? Putting in a little extra effort to make your tone sound happier or friendlier can help with the blocks. Give it a try if you want but have a look at some other techniques if you want. Have you seen any job that aren’t going to require face to face contact with strangers? Possibly a work from home situation? I know it’s hard out there but maybe you just haven’t found what works best for you and that’s ok! Good luck with the search and jobs, you will be ok :)
