I’m a 32F with a 3 week old newborn and relate to this 1000%. When we were choosing names I decided that one syllable names were all I wanted to consider because my stutter often manifests based on whatever the second or third syllables are. We had plenty of longer names that we loved, but I didn’t want to struggle saying her name my whole life how I have struggled with saying my own. We ended up with a one syllable name and I am very happy that I can say it, but I give you a lot of credit for going with a name that you love and not letting your stutter dictate what you choose. If it makes you feel better, we rescued two beagles that already had established names (both are two syllables that I really thought I would never be able to say) and I now say their names with no issues! I think repetition and time really helped me with it. If you find that you do struggle with your child’s name, you can always do a cute nickname that is easier for you and less stressful.
