Yea Asking an employee a question or ordering food is they worst. I live on Long Island, and don't speak with a long island accent. But if i can tell i wont be able to ask them a question ill lay on a thick long island garbage accent lol. Thankfully most people around where i live have that accent so it doesn't come off as strange. But if I'm with friends when i do it they find it so funny because we joke around about that accent all the time lol. I never thought about it as a lack of self acceptance before. But maybe your right because i can only talk well when I'm not acting like myself. Im going to use that idea to think about how i view myself when i talk, it might end up helping thanks. :)
