Today i told my roommate that i have a stutter. We‘ve lived together for about 3 years now and I managed to hide my stutter from him until today. After months of planning to tell him about it in person without actually doing it, my SLP made me text him in today‘s session. I‘m really proud of myself that I finally did it. Now it‘s not a big secret anymore and he knows what‘s going on when there‘s a block in my speech. Are there any covert stutterers who also find it hard to talk about it?
