That's the infuriating thing about stuttering: it's the buffet of speech disorders. What works for one is useless for another. For my part, I'm a high school teacher. Telling my students that I stutter is more about managing their expectations (and behavior) than doing anything personally for me. By "getting ahead" of it, I set a tone that my stutter is a part of my speech and won't impede my work. My audience falls into line. The severity of my stutter day to day is more dictated by what's going on with me personally (sleep, diet, relationships, etc) At any rate, I hope things work out for you! :)
