From what I've heard, there's no way of *completely* getting rid of your stuttering behavior once you're an adult. I've seen several speech therapists the past few years, and that was pretty much the first thing they all said. The only way to fully overcome your stutter is to start working on it on an age as young as possible - I suppose that has to do something with speech development in general. That said, there are many ways to improve the situation as an adult. To take myself as an example, I'm in the middle of overcoming some psychological issues that come with my stuttering behavior, as well as mastering some techniques and tricks to deal with concrete stutter moments. Things have really gotten better since I started my therapy a year ago. In all honesty, though, I'd find it hard to formulate any concrete advice or tips besides seeing a speech therapist - I'm sorry.
