Im here with a different experience with a speech therapist. I started going to the speech therapist at the age of 14 and it was a stressful time of my life. I was preparing for the high school entrance exam and i had some general mental issues related or unrelated to my stutter. To my luck, my speech therapist also had taken psychology education, so she really helped me with the mental side of things. The weird mouth shaping things were there, but honestly, i dont use them all that much right now. I still stutter and have blocks, but im feeling much more confident with my stutter. I went to the therapist for around 6 months btw. And i must say that i am really grateful to that lady. I am 16 now and i try to talk as much as i can, i use voice chat in games, order my food easier and just talk with more confidence.
