Intensive speech therapy can do wonders. I had the same problem and once I completed it my mom told it it was like she "got her son back." Stuttering will rob you of yourself if you let it. I'd also recommend watching Dr. Maguire's podcast on Ecopipam where he mentions other meds that have helped. Since I've started to get better at running my speech has improved a little too.
