1st sound/syllable is most common. It is also portrayed the most in acting. However, people may stretch sounds, break voice mid-word, totally block (tight larynx and no sound), and the somewhat rare final sound repetitions. Many pws insert "uh uh uh" immediately before the anticipated word; the not stutter on the feared word.
