uhhh idk if this is gonna offend you, if it does my bad but I would’ve called any individual that acted like your mom an asshole, for 1. She’s pointing out a very nitpick qualities that’s not hurting anyone then has the audacity to harshly criticize you for something you’re not controlling, you’ve explained how and why you used that technique and any reasonable person would’ve accepted it and moved along, not belittle you and make your doubt yourself, truth your mother is pointing out “flaws” that are pretty subjective but is making it seem like that’s the reality, she’s embarrassed to be around you when you use that technique, thats her “PROBLEM” there are people who’d find it cute, people who don’t notice it, ones who notice it but don’t care, ones who get angry at it, ones who wants to keep hearing it, list goes on but personally I’d work on lessening how her opinion impacts you bc there’s nothing wrong with what you’re doing
