Strangely yes. I was dx’ed last year with critically high bp. Took a trip to the Er because of it. My doctor put me on beta blockers. I lost my insurance and had to do without. Finally have insurance again! Went to a new doctor. Now on ace inhibitors and a calcium channel block. Bp is controlled a little more but not completely. Have a rental artery ultrasound coming soon. Strangely, since starting my new meds for bp, I don’t feel as anxious all the time. My speech has cleared up a lot. There are many reason for high bp. Hereditary, dietary issues, anxiety issues (white coat syndrome). I can say getting my blood pressure more in order has helped my speech out. Just to add: beta blockers can be used to treat social anxiety at times. They are used to help with stage fright at times. Just to add it. I’m a fit 30 year old female. Not overweight in the least and my diet is fairly healthy. It stuns doctors and nurses to see my bp.
