First of all, she was NOT the one for you. If a person truly loves you, the stutter is a moot issue. You are FRICKIN AMAZING and don't you forget that. Second, search in Google "Stuttering help near me" and you'll find great support groups/organizations/speech therapy to help you address your stutter. Also, I am 52 yo, married, one son, obtained my AA degree, BS in Psychology, MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, joined military and now have a successful career.........all with a moderate stutter. Don't let anything or anyone stop you from being the best that you can be. NOW, it's not all sunshine and rainbows.....I've had a very difficult school life, battled the darkness and survived a suicide attempt. I practice every day reading out loud, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and celebrating my wins. Lastly, my stutter has taught me a great many things but its Superpower is that it shows me who people truly are.......I only want people around me who are going to challenge me, support me and keep me accountable to my life goals. Girls will come and go BUT when you find that special girl or guy who doesn't care about your stutter and loves you for you, you hold on to that person. Cheers
