Why do you hate the exercise? What's your fluency at your worst? At your best? Do you have any goals for fluency? I'm assuming by posting here and your grammar that you're at least in your teens. You're fluency is your fluency. It's not anybody else's. I trust mom has your best interest at heart. But if you're not interested in doing the exercises, that's your decision. In my personal experience, it was when I made a conscious decision and a commitment to improving my fluency that I was able to become fluent. Prior to that I struggled to improve my fluency. The same exercises that didn't work in the past work for me after I decided that it was what I wanted. And please don't take my anecdote as pressure or advice on making a commitment. You do what is right for you today. You can always change your mind at a later date about how you want to proceed. Are happiness and well-being can be more important than our fluency.
