Started a new job today and met a coworker who also stutters but unsure if I should mention it I started a new job today (I'm an RN) and one of the other RN's I work with has a stutter. I thought it was so cool to finally meet someone for the first time in real life who has a stutter but I didn't want to bring up her stutter in our conversation. Im pretty sure she heard me stutter also when we would speak but none of us mentioned it to each other. Her stutter was on the mild side like mine but still noticeable and it was just so admirable how confident she was and didn't let it get in the way of her job. Nobody seemed to even care she had a stutter and treated her with just as much respect as anyone else. Im a new graduate and she told me she's been in this profession for 17 years so I wanted to talk to her about being a stutterer in this profession but I feel awkward bringing it up to her and don't know if its a good idea.
