I am 28years old and I pretty much stopped stuttering when I was maybe 24. It was not like it stopped from one day to the other. It took maybe one year in which my speech more and more improved. It is not 100% gone but it very rarely happens and people don't even notice when it happens. Before that, I also always thought my life would be so great if I'd not stutter and I imagined all the things I would do like easily talking with strangers, participate in class more and of course I would approach any girl I like. Looking back, I realise I blamed everything I couldn't do on my stuttering. If you want to be this person, do it now. This is how I got rid of my stuttering. I brought myself in uncomfortable situation and by doing so, improved my confidence significantly. I cannot tell whether my low confidence was the reason I stuttered as I still believe it was rather a consequence of my stuttering than the cause of it but going out of my comfort zone definitely helped me a lot.
