Go to class earlier and introduce yourself to people seating next to you. Ask them where they are from? What do they like to do? Good places to eat around? Have a friendly composure. Make eye contact, smile, use a calm tone... people like to talk about themselves so let them take control of the conversation End the conversation if they don’t seem to want to talk.
