I never accepted that I will have speech difficulties until the end of my life. Maybe a trained SLP will notice after 10 minutes of conversation that my speech is a bit different from "normal" or a brain scan will show something unique about my neural pathways. I can also accept the fact that most likely I won't be a news reporter. I don't accept not to be able to be as fluent as I need in my daily life, I don't accept the struggle (both mentally and physically) & speech-related fears (except those normal ones everyone has, e.g. fear of public speaking).
