My husband stutters over both of our daughters names and ppl say to him all the time “did you forget already?!??” It’s annoying. Even if ppl don’t realize he’s stuttering it’s best not to mock ppl you don’t know because you never know what’s actually going on. Whenever anyone laughs or imitates his stutter he says “actually i have a stutter and i don’t appreciate that.” It makes people very uncomfortable, but it’s effective, especially for people who live in our building and neighbors we see a lot. Anyway, sorry your stuttering causes you pain.
