I DEEPLY fear situations where i need to meet new people because of this. Whenever a receptionist asks me my name i always simply spell it out instead of saying it. My name also begins with an 'A' and my biggest problems are with vowels. One of the worst situations was when a friend's parent asked me my name. The entire time i was with him i was thinking "dont ask me my name dont ask me my name" and when he asked i had the most horrible stutter i've ever had and he just stared at me the whole time until i finally said my name.
